Project overview

Threshold is a faith-rooted content rating app for families. It started with the question already being asked in my own living room: what is actually in this before it's on in front of my kids? There are more shows than hours in the day, and the tools that exist either lecture or leave you guessing.

I built every layer of it: the brand, the web app, the iOS app and the AI rating protocol underneath. Every title lands on one of five tiers, Heavenly, Blessed, Discern, Guarded or Refused. Each household sets up a profile for every person at home, so a rating fits the child in front of the screen, not an average one. A subtitle-based heat map shows where the language and intensity actually fall, and Grace, a built-in assistant, helps plan the next family movie night.

The identity is quiet on purpose. A doorway mark, an editorial serif and warm, lived-in photography. It should feel closer to a family photo album than a parental-controls dashboard.

Tend what they watch. Shape who they become.
